Rollmark privacy policy
Your photos never leave your iPhone. Rollmark has no account and no server that stores your data. It reads your library to show it month by month, and it deletes nothing on its own. Purchases go through Apple and a billing service, which sees an anonymous app user id. Last updated 10 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data?
The developer of Rollmark is responsible for this policy. Rollmark has no account and no server of its own, so the developer does not receive your photos, their details or your decisions.
What does Rollmark read from my library?
With your permission, Rollmark reads the photos and videos in your library on this iPhone: the images for display, and each item's date, type, pixel size and duration. It uses them to show your library by month, to build the Sort piles and to draw the share cards you choose to make. Photos and their details are never uploaded or shared. With Limit Access, the app works with the selection only.
If iCloud Photos is on, iOS may fetch an original from your own iCloud so Rollmark can show it. That transfer is between your iPhone and Apple, not to us.
What does Rollmark store on my iPhone?
On this device only: the ids of photos you kept, let go or marked, your counters, your streak, today's swipe count and your settings. This data is not tied to your identity and we cannot see it. Erase Rollmark data in Settings deletes it, and so does deleting the app.
What leaves my device?
Purchases. Apple processes subscriptions and the lifetime purchase. To check whether Pro is active, the app uses a third-party billing service, which receives an anonymous app user identifier and your App Store transaction details and keeps them under its own policy. It never receives photos or library data. The app's privacy manifest declares purchase history and a user id, both not linked to you and not used for tracking.
Shares. A share card goes only where you send it through the iOS share sheet. You can turn photos off on cards.
Does Rollmark use analytics, ads or tracking?
No. The app contains no analytics SDK, no ads, no advertising identifier and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Which permissions does it ask for?
- Photos (read and write): to show and sort your library, and to move items to Recently Deleted after you confirm.
- Photos (add only): used when you save a share card.
- Notifications: asked only if you turn on the daily reminder, which is one local notification at 9:00 or 20:00.
How does deleting work?
Rollmark never deletes a photo permanently. After your confirmation, it asks iOS to move items to Recently Deleted, where they stay for 30 days. See safe delete.
